Visiting the Port of Echuca? Here's where the walk-in barber is.
A short guide for travellers and weekenders — where the shop sits, why walk-in matters here, and how to time it so you're not waiting.

Echuca's High Street is one of those rare strips where the heritage isn't a museum exhibit — it's the actual working street. People come to walk the wharf, ride the paddle-steamers, eat at the pubs, and (occasionally) realise they need a haircut before tomorrow's wedding/family photo/work week.
If that last bit is you: this is the page.
Where the shop sits
High St Barber is at 560 High Street, Echuca. You're a short stroll from the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre and the wharf precinct, on the same strip as the heritage pubs and the High Street cafes.
Free street parking is available right out the front and on the surrounding side streets. There's no underground car park to find, no parking app to install. Pull up, lock the car, walk in.
Why walk-in actually helps travellers
No appointments works in your favour when you're visiting. You don't have to commit to a slot you might be late for because the paddle-steamer ran over, or the kids decided the playground at the Port was non-negotiable.
The trade-off is honest: at busy times you might wait fifteen to forty minutes. The trick is timing.
Best times if you're a visitor
Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 8 AM to about 10:30 AM, are the quietest sessions of the week. If your itinerary is flexible, this is the sweet spot — you'll usually walk straight to the chair.
Saturday morning (9 AM to noon) is the busiest of the week, but also the only weekend slot — get there at opening for the shortest wait.
Friday afternoons get busy with locals heading into the weekend. The lead-up to public holidays is also a peak. Either is workable, just bring patience.
What we do
Men's cuts, fades and tapers, beard trims and line-ups, traditional hot-towel straight-razor shaves, and kids' cuts. If you need a fast clean-up before dinner, we'll get you in and out. If you want the full hot-towel experience, allow a bit longer and we'll do it properly.
Pair it with the rest of the day
If you've got an hour, a haircut here pairs well with a wander down the wharf, a coffee at one of the cafes a few doors up, or a pint at one of the heritage pubs. The strip is short enough that none of it is more than a five-minute walk.
If you're booking accommodation, the Port precinct hotels and the Moama-side motels are all within a five-to-ten-minute drive.
Drop in anytime in our hours. 560 High Street, Echuca. No bookings. Cash or card. We'll see you in.
