Common Questions
Frequently
asked.
Bookings, hours, parking, payment, kids' cuts and the rest. If your question isn't here, give us a ring — we're happy to chat.
- Do you take bookings?
- No. High St Barber is walk-in only — there is no appointment system and no online booking. Come in during opening hours and take a seat.
- What are your opening hours?
- Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, and closed on Sunday. Hours can vary on public holidays — check our Facebook or Instagram or call ahead.
- Where is the shop?
- 560 High Street, Echuca VIC 3564, on the same strip as the historic Port of Echuca precinct.
- When is it quietest?
- Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 8:00 AM through to about 10:30 AM, are the quietest. Saturday morning is the busiest of the week — get there at 9:00 AM for the shortest wait. Friday afternoons and the run-up to public holidays are also peak.
- How long is a typical wait?
- Five to ten minutes on a weekday morning, fifteen to forty on a busy Saturday. There are seats inside and the shop is on a strip with cafes if you'd rather grab a coffee while waiting.
- Are kids welcome?
- Yes — the shop is family-friendly, and we're patient with the little ones. Parents are welcome to sit alongside the chair if it helps.
- Do you accept card?
- Yes. EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard are all accepted at the chair. Cash is also fine.
- Do you do beard trims and traditional shaves?
- Yes. Beard trims, line-ups, and traditional hot-towel straight-razor shaves are all part of the service list. Pair them with a haircut or stand-alone — either is fine.
- Is there parking nearby?
- Yes — free street parking on High Street out the front and on the surrounding side streets. No paid car park or parking app required.
- Do you sell gift vouchers or products?
- We keep the shop focused on the chair rather than retail. If you're after a gift for someone, the best thing is to pop them some cash and tell them to come in for a cut. For products, we'll happily point you to local stockists when you ask.
